Sirius are delighted to announce that our team continues to grow with the appointments of Ann Lee, Philip Holness, Chris Dodds and Esmerelda Gomes.
Ann Lee has joined us as our Finance Manager and brings over 20 years of experience to the role. She has a background in implementing new processes, streamlining existing processes and strengthening controls, as well as working with the wider business to understand the reasons behind these changes in order to role out a smooth transition.
Weekends are all about family and down time. Whether that be watching her son playing football or her daughter at her riding lessons, a walk at the beach with her dog or curling up with the cats and a good book.
Philip Holness has joined as a Senior Consultant fresh from spending two years as an Operational Analyst working on behalf of the MoD’s Operational Advantage Centre (OAC) for the Royal Navy.
Phil has a wealth of experience working within the maritime environment with a specialisation in supporting carrier strike operations. Other past experiences have involved working within DSTL as a historical and wargaming analyst.
Christopher Dodds, or Chris, has joined Sirius as a Senior Consultant in Space Systems Engineering. He has 5 years of dedicated experience in space procurement and delivery from the Space Delivery Team of Defence Equipment and Support with an additional 2 years of nuclear engineering experience from the Submarine Delivery Agency. Chris’s experience and expertise lie in delivering Space Domain Awareness, Ground Segment, Satellite, and Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance projects to Defence and Government customers (Including Space Command and the UK Space Agency). Chris has skills in engineering risk and requirements management, technical decision-making; including Safety and Security and Test, Evaluation, and Acceptance, and an expertise in managing and adapting communication styles between defence space industrial suppliers and cross-government stakeholders through chairing workshops and decision boards.
Chris is proud to have played a significant role in the launch of UK MOD’s first sovereign ISR Spacecraft (TYCHE – Launched to Space – Aug 2024). Additionally, Chris possesses Alumni status with the University of Leicester, having achieved 1st with Honours – MPhys Physics with Space Science and Technology, and with the International Space University having completed the Interactive Space Program 2020.
Esmeralda Gomes has joined Sirius as a Graduate Consultant having recently graduated with a BSc Hons in Mathematics and Statistics at Newcastle University. In her third year, Esmeralda led a group of 4 to research and create a report based around Chaos Theory within Mathematics, which won best academic poster at the end of year award ceremony. Esmeralda has experience working as an accounts assistant where she was able to develop an SQL database from scratch to help with company development.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys playing the piano and is currently working towards grade 7 piano qualification.
