Derek (or Del) brings over 35 years of experience across the UK and NATO defence sectors.
During a 23-year career in the UK Ministry of Defence, Del held a variety of roles spanning systems engineering, project management, and cost engineering, supporting the delivery of major maritime procurement programmes. Since leaving the MOD, he has provided specialist cost engineering consultancy to UK and NATO defence projects, helping clients make informed, evidence-based investment decisions.
Del is a Certified Cost Estimator and Analyst (CCEA®) with the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA), a PRINCE2 Practitioner, and an APM-qualified Project Manager.
Outside of work, Del enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and can often be found in the gym, competing in HYROX events and other fitness competitions, or practicing yoga.
